How is appliance removal priced?
Appliance removal is priced by how many units you have and how much room they take in the truck. Pickups start at $148 and the price covers the labor, loading, hauling and disposal. The price we give you on site is the price you pay, even if we misjudged the load.
Why not just put it at the curb?
- It can't go in the trash. California requires refrigerant and certain parts to be removed from major appliances before they are scrapped, so they can't just go to the landfill.
- They're heavy. A refrigerator can weigh 250 pounds or more. We use dollies and straps and protect your floors on the way out.
- We recycle them. Appliances we pick up go to metal recycling instead of a landfill.
Before we arrive
- Unplug it and empty it. Empty the fridge and freezer and let them sit unplugged for a while so they're not leaking.
- Disconnect water and gas. Shut off and disconnect water lines and gas lines before we come. We don't disconnect gas appliances.
- Clear the path. Make sure there's a clear route from the appliance to the door.
